Frying Pan Tower Hotel – World’s Most Dangerous Hotel

Regarded as the most thrilling yet dangerous hotels in the world, the Frying Pan Tower Hotel is located at about 34 miles of the coast of Cape Fear, North Carolina. This spot was formerly a light house tower which is supported by four steel legs. The structure resembles that of an oil drilling machine and it is 85 feet above the ocean. This tower was brought by Richard Neal in a Government auction in 2009. The light house tower was then revamped into a hotel for adventure enthusiasts.

Accessibility:
Lying in the middle of the ocean, the Frying Pan Tower hotel can only be accessed through a helicopter or a boat. The tower’s top can be used as a helipad and it was confirmed by an engineer that the tower can support a helicopter.

This hotel is nick named as the “The graveyard of Atlantic” because a large number of ships have been wrecked here.

The Hotel:

The living area is about 5000 square feet in size and it has 7 bedrooms facing the ocean, an office, kitchen, toilet facilities and a storage area. One could not expect a fancy food facility here but there is an open kitchen to try out your own dish. The Frying Pan Hotel accommodates eight people and visitors can also enjoy the facility of hot showers. Spa facility is not available here but one can enjoy Wi-Fi facility. The stairs between the floors are plagued by hurricane and the effect of salts.

Since the hotel is in the middle of the ocean, a large number of sea animals are attracted towards the tower and thus this place is often visited by divers and fishermen.

Cost of Stay:
The cost for a 3 day package is about £498 and this doesn’t include the transportation charges.
