England Reaches World Cup T20 Final & Here are 5 Reasons Why They Can Be the Champions

Throughout the World T20 2016, the Kiwis were destroying every opponent and cricket fans started thinking that Black Caps are the team to beat. It was all until the English Team Switched ON their Demolishing Button. From great bowling of Ben Stokes to beast mode batting display from Jason Roy, New Zealand had no clue what was happening to them. Their batting didn’t click nor did the bowling. English batsmen hitting all around the park was electrifying to watch. In the end, it was a well deserving win for England as they now reach the World T20 Final.

When it comes to cricket world cup, every popular cricket playing nation has a chance of winning. At the start of the world cup T20, England were not considered by cricketing fans as favourite and to everyone’s surprise, they have stormed to the finals with absolute EASE. There was a stage when they were about to be knocked out of the World cup and one brilliant innings from Joe Root changed their fate. Nothing stopped England since then!

So what makes them a strong favourite to be the Champion? We have come up with 5 Reasons which prove that England could be the World T20 Champions.

1. England’s Opening Pair Can Cause Wounds on Any Bowlers

Jason Roy has been effective this season as some of his innings powered England to chase down challenging totals. The display against New Zealand was an example of how destructive he could be.

2. Moeen Ali is Impressive

If there is one player who hasn’t been in the lime light but has been one of the biggest contributors for the wins, it is Moeen Ali. In the semi-final against New Zealand, Moeen Ali took an important wicket and only gave away 10 runs. Even in the big chase against South Africa, it was Moeen Ali who held his breath, stayed calm and struck the winning run during a nail biting last over.

3. Middle Order Batsmen – As Impressive as ever

With Presence of Joe Root in the middle order, clubbed with hard hitting ability of Jos Buttler, England need not worry about scoring runs with ease. A destructive opening pair, classy one-down batsman and clinical finishers are keys for chasing down a big total or posting one.

4. Fearlessness against Prime Bowlers

The English batsmen showed no signs of fear against some of the best bowlers in this tournament. Be it the South African bowlers or amazing spin bowling attack of New Zealand, destroying them for runs was just like a cake walk.

5. Impressive Bowling in the Depth

Chris Jordan and Ben Stokes have impressed with their bowling. Chris Jordan bowled some good Yorkers during depth overs and Ben Stokes impressed against New Zealand with 3 wickets. England has options for part time bowling as Moeen Ali chips in with few overs if someone else gets hit for runs.

So whoever wins the final, it is going to be their 2nd World Cup T20 Championship. With Indian batting line totally depending on Kohli and West Indies being Gayle Indies, England has the upper hand as their team is on a roll!
