Make a difference on this Earth Day!

More than a billion people take actions on Earth’s day-22 April. People switch off their lights, all unnecessary equipment and plant trees in order to preserve the environment.

Know how it started
The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970, the same year when people were enjoying the last album of The Beatles. The day was introduced by US Senator Gaylord Nelson. The event drew attention of 20 million people in 1970s. 2009 was the year when United Nations decided to announce 22nd of April the International Mother Earth Day!

The Present Earth Day
It is now celebrated by over a billion people, located in 200 countries. Because of the excessive smoke of industrial factories, London was once labelled as Big Smoke. The city is now eco-friendly as many of its global counterparts. London is the leading cities to celebrate World Earth’s Day today. People schedule their day for tree planting, recycling, and collect as much as plastic and metal. You can see one or the other person talking on a different environmental issue by gathering.

Did you know these facts?

-Recycling one Aluminium Can make you save enough energy to watch a TV for three hours.
-Every ton of recycled paper saves 17 trees.
-Factories release over 3 million tons of toxic chemicals into the land, air, and water every year.
“If we are ever to halt climate change and conserve land and other resources not to mention reduce animal suffering, we must celebrate Earth Day every day.”- Ingrid Newkirk

Go Green on this day!

Every person in the world has different cultural background, different faith and different nationality but this is the only event that brings people from all around the world together. Plant a tree or volunteer for cleaning up your community. Change your habits or utilize green sources for your home. Get more people involved. Green solutions like solar panels, heat pumps, and boilers can be preferred. Also, if you invest in green energy, you might be eligible for financial support provided by the UK government.

Be Happy and Keep our Mother Earth Happy.
